X-arts will be hosting 25 youth from across Europe in November!

We’re beyond excited about the “Art and Nature Walks Together” project.
In a world that’s becoming increasingly fast-paced and digitally connected, many young people are ironically growing more disconnected from the natural environment. “Art and Nature Walks Together” is an Erasmus+ youth exchange project designed to reverse that trend—by bringing young people back into nature through creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression.
More info:
The project will host 25 youth and 5 group leaders over one week (22 – 28 November, 2025) in Vienna. participants will take part in art workshops, nature walks, and cultural exchange activities. They’ll develop their creative talents, form friendships across borders, and engage in important conversations about the environment and inclusion. The project also ensures that youth from disadvantaged backgrounds are fully involved, creating a safe and empowering space for all.
By combining creative arts with environmental education, the project empowers youth to become ambassadors of sustainability and social inclusion, while developing their talents and building lifelong connections across cultures.
As X-arts, we’re excited to be project coordinator for this Erasmus+ project.
The heart of the project: a mural
A key outcome of the project will be the creation of a large-scale, public mural in Vienna, Austria. Designed in collaboration with local mural experts and painted by the participants themselves, the mural will:
Convey a strong environmental message
Serve as a lasting symbol of sustainability and youth collaboration
Act as the project’s most visible and long-lasting output
Invite the local community to engage in conversations about environmental protection
This mural will serve as a tool for dissemination, awareness, and community engagement. Local citizens will be invited to the unveiling and the public artwork will remain in place long after the project ends—reminding everyone of the role young people can play in shaping a greener future.
A Community Effort
At its core, Art and Nature Walks Together is about connection to nature, to self, and to others. Youth participants will engage in outdoor activities, creative workshops, and cultural exchange. They’ll learn to express themselves artistically, while also discovering what it means to be a responsible, engaged European citizen.
Through the mural and public events, residents of Vienna will be included in the experience, discussions, and legacy of the project.
Follow our journey, join the conversation, and stay tuned for the unveiling of a mural that speaks for the planet by the hands of Europe’s next generation of changemaker:
