Art and Nature Walks Together
KA152-YOU- Mobility of Young People

“Art and Nature Walks Together” is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project that aims to reconnect young people with the natural world through the power of artistic expression.
More specifically, the project will host 25 youth and 5 group leaders over one week (22 – 28 November, 2025) in Vienna. participants will take part in art workshops, nature walks, and cultural exchange activities. They’ll develop their creative talents, form friendships across borders, and engage in important conversations about the environment and inclusion. The project also ensures that youth from disadvantaged backgrounds are fully involved, creating a safe and empowering space for all.
By combining creative arts with environmental education, the project empowers youth to become ambassadors of sustainability and social inclusion, while developing their talents and building lifelong connections across cultures.
As X-arts, we’re excited to be project coordinator for this Erasmus+ project.
Reconnecting with Nature Through Art
In today’s increasingly digital and fast-paced world, many young people are growing distant from the natural environment—and from each other.
Art and Nature Walk Together addresses this disconnect by offering a space for reflection, exploration, and creativity.
Participants from five European countries will engage in hands-on workshops, outdoor experiences, and collaborative art projects. The weeklong exchange and workshop will culminate in the creation of a large public mural with an environmental theme, right in the heart of Vienna
A Mural with a Message
At the core of the project is a striking artistic output: a collaborative mural that delivers a clear message on sustainability and the beauty of nature.
Designed with local artists and painted by participants, the mural will serve as a long-lasting symbol of environmental awareness. It will involve the local community, spark dialogue, and stand as the project’s most visible and impactful result. It will be a lasting symbol of sustainability, a conversation-starter for the local community, and a visual reminder of our shared responsibility to protect the planet. The unveiling of the mural will involve local residents and environmental experts, sparking dialogue around biodiversity and ecological action.
Project Objectives
Our project’s aims are both creative and practical:
To raise awareness of the beauty and importance of nature
To promote environmental responsibility and sustainability
To empower participants through creative expression—painting, street art, music
To foster teamwork via collective art-making, especially in creating the mural
To support inclusion, especially of disadvantaged youth, ensuring access to cultural experiences
To help youth develop skills they can use in the labor market—artistic, social, and entrepreneurial
Through a dynamic combination of workshops, nature walks, intercultural exchanges, and group activities, we provide youth with opportunities to grow, connect, and create.
